A Modern Communication Platform
Drives Nonprofit Success

The Customer

And Their Challenge

Samaritan Inn, through its SHARED HOPE® mentoring partnership network, is dedicated to addressing the challenges of addiction and homelessness across the United States. By working closely with faith-based and community organizations, SHARED HOPE® seeks to provide structured programs that help individuals rebuild their lives. With a network of partners and mentors spread throughout the country, effective communication and collaboration are critical for managing day-to-day operations, sharing best practices, and organizing resources.

However, the organization faced difficulties in ensuring that partners and mentors had easy access to the latest announcements, documents, events, and critical updates. Without a centralized communication platform, the dissemination of information was often delayed or inefficient, leading to missed deadlines, duplicated efforts, and fragmented collaboration. Samaritan Inn needed a solution to streamline communication, ensure document availability, and enable partners to better manage their tasks and events.

The Solution

To address these challenges, i3solutions designed, implemented, and deployed a tailored collaboration platform using Microsoft SharePoint. The solution centered around the development of SHARED HOPE® workspaces—customized portals designed for each mentoring partner within the network. Each partner portal serves as a dedicated environment where users can access and manage key information, including announcements, events, assignments, due dates, and fundraising updates.

The centralized platform also includes a shared document library, providing partners and mentors with on-demand access to critical documents. The main workspace hosts resources such as how-to guides to assist partners in navigating the platform and managing their responsibilities efficiently. This customizable and scalable solution not only streamlines collaboration but also empowers partners to self-manage content, reducing administrative bottlenecks and improving overall coordination within the network.

Technologies

Used in the Solution
