What did i3solutions build for the mentoring partnership network?
A collaboration platform on Microsoft SharePoint, made up of dedicated partner workspaces: a customized portal for each mentoring partner. Inside a portal, users access and manage announcements, events, assignments, due dates, and fundraising updates. The main workspace adds a shared document library and how-to guides for navigating the platform.
How does the platform keep partners working from current documents?
Through the centralized document library, which gives partners and mentors on-demand access to critical documents. Every partner reaches the latest materials from one place, which removes the delays that come from outdated or misplaced copies.
Do partners manage their own portal, or does every update go through the central office?
Both roles exist. Partners self-manage the content in their own portal and track the events, tasks, and announcements tied to their own responsibilities. The organization publishes network-wide updates from a single administrative site. Dividing the work that way reduces administrative bottlenecks rather than concentrating them on one team.
Will the platform hold up as the network adds mentoring partners?
The platform is built as one workspace per mentoring partner on a shared SharePoint foundation, which is what makes it customizable and scalable: each partner gets a portal configured for its own responsibilities, while network-wide announcements, events, and resources stay in the main workspace. Because partners maintain the content in their own portals, coordination work does not all collect on the organization’s staff as the network grows.
