Location: Sterling, VA with travel to client sites in Metro DC area and/or onsite client in Metro DC area


The Senior SharePoint/.NET Consultant is responsible for providing high-level technical direction for the development, design and systems integration across multiple client engagements throughout a project lifecycle. With extensive experience designing, implementing, and supporting Microsoft SharePoint solutions, this position is responsible for the most critical technical activities, from architecting and implementing solutions and designing code modules, to defining system functionality, and developing and testing code. In addition, The Senior SharePoint/.Net Consultant may provide formal in-house training and development to staff and/or clients as well as internal mentoring to more junior level staff members.


  • Assess technical issues and comfortably articulate solutions / best-practices to suit client’s needs
  • Easily recognize system deficiencies and implement effective solutions
  • Perform requirements analysis leading to an architecture and design that will become the blueprint for the solution being created
  • Architect, present and defend technical solutions and designs to clients
  • Use productivity tools such as configuration management tools
  • Perform code reviews as dictated by the project schedule
  • Set and meet scheduled and self-imposed deadlines on multiple projects with no supervision
  • Ensures customer satisfaction and technical details of the engagement
  • Provide scope and level-of-effort estimates for future projects
  • Manage multiple technical teams within budget and project schedule
  • Work with manager and team members to ensure successful project roll-out that meets the project’s requirements and satisfies the overall needs of the customer
  • Develop a partnership with clients and create a positive relationship to clearly understand business processes, short and long-term business objectives, and functional goals
  • Provide additional consulting to improve customer service and enhance overall ROI to clients
  • Perform consultative post-sales role with customers regarding implementations, configurations and solutions
  • Act as the firm’s subject matter expert for a specific technology, or vertical promoting this expertise within and outside the firm
  • Improve operational margins through innovation and process engineering
  • Act as both a technical and / or professional mentor for more junior level consultants

Technology Requirements:

Must show proficiency in some, or all of the following:

  • 10+ years SharePoint 2010/2013/2016/Online
  • 10+ years .Net (preferably C#)
  • MVC
  • Workflow tools (like K2/Nintex)
  • SQL Server 2008/2012/2014/2016

Additional Experience:

  • Understanding of enterprise architectures including scale-up and scale-out solutions
  • Understanding of load balancing and high availability solutions
  • Understanding of TCP/IP networking
  • Understanding of web-based communication technologies (http, https, SOAP, REST, AJAX, Angular, etc.)
  • Understanding of virtualization (VMWare / Hyper-V)
  • Understanding of service offerings (cloud, hosted, on premise)
  • Understanding of data modeling / data layer build tools

Other Requirements:

  • BA or BS from an accredited college or university
  • Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to read customers, anticipate needs and communicate clearly and effectively
  • Solid understanding of basic business concepts and practices
  • The ability to lead teams of any size
  • Ability to grow client into a major customer
  • Self-motivation, with ability to be effective team player
  • The ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from large groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public
  • The desire and motivation to learn new technologies and to keep current with new technological products, trends and issues
  • Solid work ethic with a willingness to work overtime to meet client demands
